In Barcelona

I walked in Rambla St, in Barcelona, Spain last summer and went to Gaudi houses. There’s also a park where you can see Gaudi Art. You need to take the bus to go there. It is worth seeing. Entrance is free.  Please be very very careful while in Spain as there are pick-pockets everywhere especially when you take the train and when you are in crowded areas. Be alert when you see a man or a woman covering his/her arm with a jacket. Leave everything in the safety deposit box in your hotel room and carry a small amount of money in your front jeans pocket. Do not carry alot of money in your purse. Withdraw a small amount of cash only with you ATM card and when you spend it withdraw another small amount (not more than 5000 pesetas. Do not keep your passport, money or valuables in your suitcases, as hotel employees enter guests’ rooms and open suitcases and steal money and valuables. It happened to some ladies who were with me on the tour. I was also pick pocketed last summer when I was on the train in Madrid (for the first time in my life). I was lucky I lost about 100 riyals only (all the cash that I had even the coins were stolen)and my tickets and passport were in the safety deposit box. The pick pocket ripped my new purse with a sharp knife and I did not feel it at all. It was too crowded on the train and could not move. I was more worried about my camcorder than my purse which was under my arm. Afterwards I started to put cash in my jeans pocket and my credit cards in my tennis shoes. I know you would laugh but it is better to be safe than sorry. It is devastating when it happens.
