In Korea -3

Well, Korea is beautiful. The weather is very nice and cool. I do not feel tired and sleepy like I do in Malaysia. The people are nice and friendly as well, although it is difficult to communicate with them. But I try to use gestures and use my teaching skills to communicate. Maps are in both English and Korean. So if I need directions I just show the place on the map to people and they understand. Sometimes I feel frustrated and just give up. But it’s been a good experience. Koreans are smarter than Malaysians. You cannot believe how many universities there are in Seoul alone along one subway line only.  Everything is very expensive in Korea. They sell fruits and vegetables per piece. one peach for 7 ringgits. Big pears for 15 ringgits. Coffee is for 15 ringgits in most places especially at the hotel. Salesmen do not try to cheat. But you have to bargain if you want to buy something.  I am at a National Park since yesterday. The mountains are so green and the weather is cool up on top of the mountain. I have been walking a lot more than I do in KL. My feet are aching. This morning I had to edit my presentation. So I did not leave the hotel until 1 p.m.  I got the program in the e-mail. My presentation is at 4 p.m.  Well, I have to have dinner and take my boots off as my feet are so painful. Please greet dedat, the baby and their mother. Good night
