I have just got back to the hotel and need to change. I walked the whole day. I do not and cannot do that in KL as it is hot and humid and I feel exhausted all the time. I feel so sleepy and want to go to bed around 7 p.m.

But here in Seoul, I feel more active and the pain that I have been having in my feet and legs (since I got to KL) is much better. The weather is very nice and cool. I went to the Royal Palace and gardens today and to a Korean traditional show (a one-hour show for $25). I video-taped it all. I’ll keep you posted about the tour. The conference is between Oct 2-5 and I go back to KL Oct 8 as I did not find reservation. I even had to leave early because my visa was supposed to expire Sep 24, 2002 and felt that it was not worth extending and paying money for only 4 days (I originally made reservation on Sep 28 but changed it.

Seoul is too crowded and different. It is hard to get around as people speak Korean and signs are in Korean. However, maps and subway are marked in both English and Korean. It is difficult to eat at the restaurants as they mainly serve pork. I cannot eat chicken and beef either. No sea food. Probably because I do not know what they call it in Korean. I buy fruits and milk at the supermarket. I have been walking the whole day, something that I miss in Kuala Lumpur. The weather is very nice and cool. very refreshing. I am planning to go to an island and a mountain in the next few days before the conference starts Oct 2, 2002. I almost forgot that I am having a conference until you reminded me.  Yesterday I went to the Royal palace and gardens and a traditional Korean dance at night. I went to another palace and to the Korean village but they were closed. Everything is expensive, e.g., peaches are 2 dollars a piece and a cup of regular coffee at the hotel is $5. Well, I need to go to the tourist information office to make reservation and then go to the World cup stadium and shopping street.
