After the Spring semester final exams I applied for a room at the women’s dormitory where I spent the summer months during which I was taking a summer class. Although the dormitory was a perfect place and I was happy and comfortable living there,  I had to leave it by the end of the summer, as it was fully booked for the fall semester. However, I was able to find a space at a Quad at the Mayflower Residence Hall, where I shared a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 American and a Greek student. I was sharing the room with Vera who is still my friend and we were both sharing the kitchen and bathroom with Maria and Laurie. We got along pretty well with each other and things went on perfectly well. Although the dormitory was far from campus, I could take the Cambus back and forth. On Sunday I would walk 45 minutes each way to and from downtown as the buses did not run. Despite that, that year was one of the best in my whole life.
