From Olympia to Tolon
Wednesday, July 21, 2004:
Left at 8:20 a.m. Walked up the street across the bridge and shallow river to Olympia Archaeological site. Few columns and many broken columns and stones scattered here and there. Broken stone houses flower streets/ Heard bugs and birds chirping/ Very quiet and peaceful. Visited Olympia Archaeological Museum and Museum of the Olympic Games (a small one).
Drove to Tolon at 12 and got there at 4 p.m. it was too hot. My room overlooked the street. I sat in my balcony and worked on my laptop. Dinner was at 8 in restaurant across the street. It overlooked the sea. Had buffet dinner. Went to internet café. Walked along the main street. Then with the bend. Shops all along the street.
I forgot my multi-plug at the hotel in Olympia. I pulled the wire in the morning not paying attention to the fact that the multi-plug did not come our. Wanted to buy a multi-plug for my computer. He asked for 4 Euros. I bought a plug for .70 Euros and tried to replace the charger’s plug. Needed a screw driver. Borrowed one from the reception and opened it. Used one of my razors to cut the cable and uncover the wires. I managed to do it replacing the plug of my extension cord.
I did not disconnect my Wal-Mart Connect internet service. I sent an e-mail. But I got a reply saying that I have to call them to cancel, fax or mail my request. They asked to include some information. As I am traveling I have no access to a printer, a fax and mail will take several days so I decided to wait until I get back. I should have disconnected it
