Took a taxi and went from Tropical Hotel to Poseidon Hotel. Driver charged me 8 Euros although distance was 1 km. They take advantage of foreigners. Checked in and asked to use the internet as I needed to book a hotel for the 7 extra nights after the tour. The internet was not working very well “page cannot be displayed”. I walked to the internet café down the same street but it was out of order. I did not know what to do. If all hotels are fully booked in Athens for the month of August, then I need to either go to Cypress for a week or change my reservation and go home July 30. I did not know whether there is a Saudia Office in Athens. How can solve my accommodation problem if there is no internet access? When I got back to the hotel and asked about a travel agency. It was around the corner. I could not go the Cyprus as the ticket is 240 Euros and I had to fly to Larnaka, go to Limasol which is an hour away. Hotels were around 100Euros. I have 4 pieces of luggage, too much trouble to travel with 4 pieces of luggage. So the girl downstairs finally booked Plaka Hotel near the Acropolis for 83 Euros per night. But it is an hour away from the airport.
